Funding School Projects with a Community Favorite

THE CHALLENGE

We needed new options to help raise money to support our PTSA and students to allow clubs pay for books or equipment, for teachers to purchase materials that are not budgeted for classes, and to celebrate our students!

THE SOLUTION

We set out our “sample” blankets to allow our supporters to see the color, the feel of the fabric, see the size and priced them at an affordable price while still maintaining a 50% profit for an item we know will be loved and used for years to come.

THE RESULT

We’ve been able to raise funds to cover multiple projects at our school that may not have been possible so quickly. The ability to choose different designs for the blankets gave our families and fans the options they wanted!

“The variety of blanket designs gave our families and fans the options they wanted, and the funds helped support projects across our school.”

How Custom Blankets Helped Our Library Club Thrive

THE CHALLENGE

The Library Club at W. B. Green Middle School was raising funds for activities throughout the year, including a field trip, a read the book/see the movie event and an end of year party. We had tried other fundraisers over the years, but none of them were very successful. A huge factor in choosing Team Throws was that there was a product that you could keep, not a small treat that would be gone in a few minutes.

THE SOLUTION

Team Throws staff made the whole process extremely easy. From the original design and revisions to the online website and shipping orders, the entire fundraiser was a breeze. The quality of the blankets sell themselves! We used social media, passed out flyers at school events and took online orders. We did blankets 2 years in a row with a different design and we had quite a few repeat customers, as well as customers that missed out the first year. Our goal was to have the district mascot on the blankets to sell to a bigger market, not just to our club or campus and it worked!

THE RESULT

Our 2nd year of fundraising with Team Throws doubled our profit from the first year, has paid for our field trip, purchased books for our read the book see the movie event, as well as paid for food for the party and left us money in our account to start next year strong!

“Our 2nd year of fundraising with Team Throws doubled our profit from the first year.”

From Fundraising Struggles to a Winning Tradition

THE CHALLENGE

We always struggled to find a fundraiser that would raise enough funds to support our team each year. We raise money for training equipment, sideline uniforms, skills camps and choreography. These expenses add up quick.

THE SOLUTION

We sell our custom Team Throw blankets every year to community members and friends and families both online and in person. These have become a stable for our high school families and everyone looks forward to them every year.

THE RESULT

Since we started selling custom blankets each year, we have been able to purchase necessary training aids and uniforms as well as offset the cost of camps for all of our athletes. I love seeing all of the blankets in the stands at football and soccer games! Our High School families love this fundraiser!

An Online Fundraiser That Delivered Big Results

THE CHALLENGE

We were looking for funds to help give our team members more opportunities. Whether that was opportunities for team bonding or opportunities to improve their skills, we needed the funds to make those happen.

THE SOLUTION

We sold exclusively online. We posted the fundraiser link and several graphics on our social media and we ran announcements and hung posters at school. It was a very large word of mouth campaign, and we emphasized the ease of purchase and how fast the delivery was.

THE RESULT

We were able to fully fund two team bonding experiences, one of which was a field trip. We were also able to purchase some new signs and workout equipment for our team. We also got a lot of great feedback from our community about how wonderful our blankets were.

“We emphasized the ease of purchase and how fast the delivery was.”
